Morning Dolls, I decided to transition about month and half ago. I have been wearing a relaxer (chemical hair straightener) since the tender age of 12. My plan was to transition from my relaxer to my natural texture until about November or December. Well that plan was tossed in the garbage this past Saturday. After my morning workout I had planned to to style my hair, a process that what have taken me roughly about 90minutes plus drying time. Well, the more I thought about it the less I wanted to do it. It became relevant to me that I had 2 options I could spend precious time trying to make nice between my natural texture and the relaxed hair or I could just put an end to my trouble and cut off the relaxed ends. While I am no trained professional and the last time I used a pair of scissors the results were less than spectacular I decided to go for it. Confident that I would not jack up the churches money I made a mad dash for the beauty supply store to grab scissors along with a few supplies. After 2 plus hours of cutting (yes it took a ton of time, I have TONS of hair and I was careful in making sure I got majority of the relaxer out) this is the end result.
In case your wondering I have no regrets, if I had to do it over again I would do it the same exact way.
